Restoration of Dental Aesthetics

Implants are often the best option to replace missing teeth.

Dr Wilson developed a special interest in Dental Implants early in his Career. After completing the Credentialing and Examination process with the Australian Society in of Implant Dentistry in 2008 he continued to focus on implantology. In 2012, Quintin completed his first post graduate dental degree, a Post Graduate Diploma in Dental Implantology.

Quintin places hundreds of Dental Implants each year. He can work with your regular dentist carrying out the implant placement only, or if it is preferred, Quintin and his team can place the implant and the crown as well.

Dental implants can be an excellent option if you have lost a tooth, or if one of your teeth is compromised to the point that it cannot be saved. Your regular dentist can assist in providing this advice to you.

Dental implant treatment is complex and invasive. It also relies on the bone healing around the implant body to secure it which is a process known as osseointegration. Bones do not heal overnight, and this means that implant treatment can take some months to occur.

At your initial consultation Quintin will  provide you with an overview of your options, the costs involved and the risks of treatment.

Full Mouth Dental Implants

We provide all the options for dental implant solutions for the upper and lower jaws

For some patients the burden of maintaining their teeth has become so large that a full mouth dental implant solution may be the best way to address their issues.  Using the latest imagery and digital planning techniques it is possible to remove your remaining teeth, place implants and within a few days place a full mouth bridge. This can be an exciting and truly life changing procedure if you have been nursing along teeth with problems for a long time.

It is important to note that whilst immediate full arch dental implants can be an amazing solution for some patients it is not a suitable treatment for everyone.  If your teeth can be fixed with conservative dental treatment this is likely to be the best thing for you.  Dr Wilson is passionate about providing full mouth dental implant treatments for patients to the best possible standard. During your consultation he will provide you with advice about whether this treatment is the best option for your.

Advanced Procedures for challenging cases

Sinus Lifts

Our Clinicians use the latest approach and techniques

Dr Wilson initially studied Sinus Lift techniques as part of his Post Graduate University Degree in Dental Implants in 2012. Since then this procedure has been used countless times to allow the placement of dental implants in patients without enough bone in their upper jaw. Although invasive in nature and carrying some risk as all surgical procedures do, the sinus lift is a predictable and highly successful procedure. Sinus Lifts can be completed without fuss under local anaesthetic in the rooms, or if you prefer, it can be completed under general anaesthetic at one of the local hospitals. Patients usually report very little post operative pain and can resume normal activities after only a few days.

If you feel like you might be a good candidate for a sinus lift or have been told there is not enough bone to place dental implants, then book a consultation to have your case assessed and the risks and benefits of a sinus lift procedure for your particular case.

Treatment risks

Oral surgery procedures, are by their very nature invasive. Any surgical or invasive procedure carries risks. Before proceeding with treatment, you should seek a second opinion from an appropriately qualified health practitioner. If required, onward referral to an appropriate medical or dental specialist will be provided.
